Leeds United have the best team in the Championship “on paper” – according to Whites man
Leeds United centre-back Max Wöber has stated his commitment to the club this week after the transfer window shut, and believes the Whites have the best squad in the division.
Given the players Leeds lost over the summer months, the end to the window was quite a positive one for the Whites as they managed to replace most of those that left.
There might still be a lingering need for an attacking midfielder, but Daniel Farke’s side looks in good shape compared to the rest of the division.
Max Wöber makes bold promotion claim about Leeds squad
Austrian international Max Wöber is yet to feature in a league game for Leeds this season after returning from his Borussia Monchengladbach loan, but is content with his current standing in the squad.
It’s a squad that he believes is more than good enough for promotion, and is adamant that it’s the best lineup and squad in the division.
Speaking to Sky Sports Austria, Wöber said this:
“I’m at Leeds, that’s a perfect fit for me. I never said that I absolutely wanted to leave. I accepted this challenge, but I know that it won’t be easy to work my way back to the same position as before.
“The chance to play in the Premier League again is huge because on paper we have the best team and a broad squad. Our goal is clearly promotion.”
