Nick Bosa on playing the Vikings after beating the Jets: ‘We’re playing a better team’
Nick Bosa had some harsh words for the New York Jets following their Week 1 showdown.
Nick Bosa believes the San Francisco 49ers are in for a tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings…unlike the New York Jets.
On the first Monday Night Football showdown of the season, the 49ers (without star tailback Christian McCaffrey) spoiled the (actual) Jets debut of Aaron Rodgers. In place of the injured McCaffrey, Jordan Mason ran all over the Jets defense to the tune of 147 yards, while Rodgers (167 yards, one touchdown, one interception) never truly found a rhythm against Bosa and the Niners’ vaunted defensive unit.
While the Niners’ week one matchup against the Jets was appointment viewing heading in, Bosa believes his squad is in for a much tougher test when his club travels to Minnesota for a Week 2 showdown.
“This week I think we’re playing a better team. They’re playing better football it looks like we’re going to have to be better in our techniques. We got away with some things last week, so we have to hone in and not pat ourselves on the back,” Bosa proclaimed when speaking with the media.
