Arsenal loving £2bn-valued mega star tipped to make huge Everton investment
John Textor is looking for investors as he moves to complete a takeover of Everton.
Famous Arsenal supporter Jay-Z has been linked with making an investment in Premier League struggles and the Gunners’ top flight rivals Everton.
The Sun reports that the rapper is ‘on the radar’ of John Textor as he looks to mount a takeover of the Merseyside club. The report adds that Jay-Z ‘could be talked into’ investing some of his huge £2 billion wealth into Everton if Textor manages to complete a deal.
Last week, Textor said that there has been ‘progress’ in his work to buy Farhad Moshiri’s majority stake in Everton. The American businessman must sell his 45 per cent stake in Crystal Palace to meet Premier League rules but needs help financing a buyout and future signings.
Despite his Arsenal allegiances, it is believed that Jay-Z could be tempted to join the project as Everton prepare to move into the newly built Bramley Moore Dock. The 54-year-old could follow in the footsteps of Ryan Reynolds, Tom Brady, LeBron James and more in getting involved with a football club in the UK.
