Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner vows to take QPR EFL Cup clash seriously
Oliver Glasner says it is Crystal Palace’s duty to take Tuesday’s EFL Cup third-round clash at QPR seriously.
The Eagles beat fellow Championship side Norwich 4-0 in the previous round, with Jean-Philippe Mateta netting a brace.
Glasner named a strong starting line-up in the previous round and will look to do the same at Loftus Road.
“It’s our duty to take the EFL Cup very seriously,” said Glasner.
“It was only Daniel Munoz [from the international players] who played 90 minutes last week. All the others were on the bench.
“Both of the Colombians came back on Thursday afternoon. Chris Richards and Matt Turner came back on Thursday morning.
“We have them as starting options for the QPR game – that’s important.
“We will take it seriously. We want to go through to the next round. I mentioned after Norwich that we play in the EFL Cup to win it.
“I don’t know if it will happen, but it’s an all-or-nothing game, and we like those games.”
