Gonçalo Franco has thanked his teammates for helping him adjust to life at Swansea City after he continued his impressive start to the season in victory over Norwich City.

The 23-year-old joined the Swans from Moreirense over the summer, and he produced an all-action display in the centre of the field as he dovetailed with captain Matt Grimes and Ollie Cooper.

It helped Luke Williams’ side to a 1-0 victory over the Canaries, and the Portuguese was glad to have returned to winning ways.

“It was important for us to get back to winning ways, I am very happy because we did it in front of our fans at home,” he said.

“I feel like I’ve settled in very well, since I arrived everyone has been great with me and helped me integrate more easily into the group and that has helped me to show what I can do on the pitch.

“I am very proud of how we played and fought for the win, I think we deserved it, and we will keep working to win more games.

“We go into every game trying to win and we will go to Coventry to fight for the three points again.”
