Surprise transfer link emerges as Hull City ‘interested’ in Chelsea trialist.
The Tigers have already snapped up one free transfer since the window closed and reports claim another could be on the way.
Hull City already have a strong goalkeeping unit at the MKM Stadium after two summer arrivals, but the Tigers have been linked with a surprise move for another.
Vladyslav Krapyvtsov is the latest name to be talked about with the potential of a move to the MKM Stadium.
The Ukrainian stopper excelled in the recent Under-20 European Championships and was named in the team of the tournament helping his country reach the semi-finals and in turn, qualify for next summer’s Under-20 World Cup, form which caught the eye of clubs in England including Chelsea.
It’s been claimed Krapyvtsov has been tracked by Premier League newcomers Southampton and is said to be on trial with Chelsea, with a picture posted to his Instagram in London along with football agent Vadym Shablii wearing Blues’ training kit.
“TaToTake reporting that free agent Vladyslav Krapyvtsov (who is currently on trial at Chelsea U21s) has interest from Hull City & Sunderland. TTT add that Hull City manager Tim Walter is personally interested in signing the GK,” journalist Zorya Londonsk wrote on social media.
The 19-year-old Kharkiv-born stopper is without a club after leaving Dinipro’s Under-21s earlier this summer and has also been linked with a move to City’s Championship rivals Sunderland.
The rumours about Krapyvtsov’s potential arrival at City will no doubt bring a wry smile to the faces of Tigers’ fans, having already signed Anthony Racioppi and Carl Rushworth during the summer transfer window, while handing a new long-term contract to Thimothee Lo-Tutala, despite the Frenchman never having played a senior game in the two years he’s been at the MKM Stadium.
