A referee will take charge of a match involving Watford for the first time on Saturday when the Hornets take on Norwich City.
It has been announced on the EFL website that Anthony Backhouse has been appointed as the man in the middle for the lunchtime trip to Carrow Road.
The Cumbrian official, who was promoted to the Select Group 2 list last season, has officiated in five matches to date in the new campaign, showing a total of 23 yellow cards and one red.
Last season, he took charge of 23 league and cup games, issuing a total of 103 cautions and sending off two players.
Alex James and Matthew McGrath are due to be the assistant referees for the 12.30pm kick-off, with Daniel Middleton on fourth official duties.
The Canaries have taken five points from their first five games of the season but have yet to win at home, having drawn 2-2 against Blackburn Rovers and 1-1 with Sheffield United in their first two Championship fixtures at Carrow Road.
