West Brom team news and predicted XI to face Plymouth Argyle
West Brom are looking to maintain their strong start to the new Championship season with a win over Plymouth Argyle this weekend.
West Brom come into their home clash against Plymouth Argyle as one of three sides left in the Championship yet to taste defeat.
Their fine form puts them at the summit of the table at this early stage, claiming four wins and a draw from five games. Last time out, they comfortably defeated Portsmouth away from home with a fine Alex Mowatt brace following Josh Maja’s opening minute strike
Maja has five goals in as many outings, with three of them being set up by Tom Fellows, who has also starred early on.
The Baggies face a Plymouth Argyle side in confident mood though. Sunderland travelled to Home Park as undefeated league leaders last weekend, only to suffer their first defeat at the hands of Wayne Rooney’s Pilgrims.
Carlos Corberan and co will be determined to avoid a similar fate here.
Unfortunately, West Brom are dealing with an injury concern regarding midfielder Jayson Molumby.
The Irishman has been the go-to partner for the in-form Mowatt in the early stages of the season but Corberan
confirmed ahead of this weekend’s clash that he has a calf issue. Given the length of time he spent out in the previous campaign, the Baggies are sure to be cautious with his problem.
