Bobby Miller has strong start in Oklahoma City’s last game of season
The final Dodgers minor league game of the season was on Sunday in Utah, with Triple-A Oklahoma City beating the Salt Lake Bees (Angels) 3-1 on the road, giving them four wins in six games in the last series of the year.

Bobby Miller didn’t factor into the season, but he ended what has been a trying season on a high note with six strikeouts in five innings, allowing only a run on three hits and a walk. The right-hander was optioned to Triple-A on Wednesday after his major league ERA rose to 8.52 in 13 starts.
It’s definitely very frustrating, but I know I going to come out of this,” Miller said after his Tuesday start in Miami. “I’m going to be be working harder than I ever have to come out of this, there’s no doubt in my mind. Whenever that may be, I’m going to be back better than I ever have.”

Miller left a tie game but Oklahoma City scored single runs in the seventh and eighth innings to win it.

Drew Avans had three more hits, ending his season on a 10-game hitting streak, of which eight were multi-hit games. The Oklahoma City Bricktown Era (since 1998) record holder for career hits, had 23 hits in his final 46 at-bats of the season, including five doubles and a home run. Avans als stole his 35th base of the season on Sunday, the second-best year on the bases in his career.
