Elland Road plan, Leeds United injury latest and Coventry City’s struggles on Farke’s agenda
There are a number of topics that Daniel Farke will be quizzed on
Daniel Farke faces the media on Thursday afternoon for his pre-match press conference. The Leeds United manager will take questions from television, radio, print and online journalists at Thorp Arch ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Coventry City.
The Whites go into the clash on the back of a routine 2-0 triumph at bottom club Cardiff City. It was their fourth clean sheet in six matches. Victory lifted them back into the Championship’s top six, five points shy of early pacesetters West Bromwich Albion.
Here is a run-down of some of the main topics on the agenda for the boss to address at the training ground today.
Ambitious Elland Road plan
United recently announced their ambitious plans to expand their 127-year-old ground’s capacity to 53,000. A statement from the club confirmed there will be a phased approach to construction to minimise loss of seating capacity during the project. The move will lead to “greatly improved general admission and hospitality facilities” and bring Elland Road in line with UEFA Category 4 status, to be amongst the elite in European stadia.
But no details have been yet to be given on the cost of the project or timescale on when the work will commence. More information on how the redevelopment will look, as well as a formal planning application, are set to follow in due course.
What does Farke make of it all?
