Horrendous Brentford injury list reaches 8 ahead of West Ham in major blow for Frank.
West Ham United face Brentford in the Premier League in a hugely important game this Saturday.
Things went from bad to worse for West Ham last night, as Liverpool thumped us 5-1 in the Carabao Cup third round at Anfield.
It’s Brentford away in the Premier League up next for the Hammers, and Julen Lopetegui is said to be under real pressure to get a result.
One thing’s for sure, the Hammers players need to improve massively, if they are to have any chance of beating the Bees.
Brentford are a very well-drilled side under the guidance of Thomas Frank, and they always give every team they play a really tough game.
However, they do have some problems heading into the West Ham game…
Brentford injury list reaches 8 ahead of West Ham clash
Thomas Frank will be fretting ahead of the clash with the Hammers on Saturday.
That’s because he has so many key men set to miss the game through injury.
According to a report from Premier Injuries, Brentford could be without EIGHT key players for the clash with West Ham on Saturday.
Joshua Dasilva, Joane Wissa, Gustavo Nunes, Mathias Jensen, Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey and Igot Thiago are all definitely out, and will not be available for the Hammers clash.
Meanwhile, Christian Norgaard is apparently currently ‘being assessed’ and has a 75% chance of playing.
Those are some really big players who Bees boss Thomas Frank will not be able to call upon this weekend.
Now the Hammers have to be ready to take advantage of what will be a weakened Brentford side.
West Ham must get a result against Brentford
The start to the season has been a painful one for the Hammers.
Lopetegui is struggling to get all of his new signings gelling together, and their is a clear lack of footballing identity on display right now.
Hopefully that will all change soon, and boy do we need a result in west London on Saturday.
A win would drastically change the negative narrative that has enveloped the Hammers so far this season.
Despite Brentford’s horrendous injury list, they will still represent a really tough test for us. We haven’t won away from home against the Bees since 1953!
Hopefully that will change on Saturday.
