The Houston Astros host the Detroit Tigers in a best-of-three game set to determine one of the ALDS series.

Detroit and Houston met twice this season for three games each, with the Astros winning two of them both times to lead the season, four-to-two. In their last meeting, on June 16 at MMP, Ronel Blanco (7-2, 2.43) earned the win by pitching seven shutout innings, allowing zero hits and three walks while striking out eight. Josh Hader allowed a run in an non-save situation as Houston came out on top, 4-1. Jose Altuve (11) went deep, while both he and Yordan Alvarez collected multiple hits.

TBD is starting four times in this three game series. Unless I miss my guess, the Astros are set for Hunter Brown in Game Two and Yusei Kikuchi in Game Three (if necessary).
