NFL Announces Derrick Henry News After Huge Week 4 Game.

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry had a standout performance on Sunday Night Football, leading his team to a dominant 35-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills. With the win, the Ravens moved to 2-2 on the season, while the Bills suffered their first loss, falling to 3-1. The Ravens rode Henry’s incredible effort, as he rushed for 199 yards on 24 carries, including a stunning 87-yard touchdown run that put Baltimore up 7-0 early in the game. On top of his rushing dominance, Henry also contributed three catches for 10 yards, including a five-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Lamar Jackson to extend the Ravens’ lead to 14-3. From there, Baltimore never looked back. His impact was rewarded early, as the NFL announced that Henry was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his stellar performance in primetime.

Henry, who was the 45th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft, has proven to be a valuable addition for the Ravens since signing a two-year, $16 million contract in March, which included $9 million guaranteed and up to $20 million with incentives.

Before joining the Ravens, Henry left a lasting legacy with the Tennessee Titans, earning four Pro Bowl selections and rushing for nearly 10,000 yards in his career. He has five seasons of rushing for at least 1,000 yards, including a remarkable 2,027-yard campaign in 2020.

Now continuing to dominate with the Ravens, Henry has proven he’s still a force to be reckoned with. If Baltimore hopes to make it back to the AFC Championship Game-where they fell short last season-Henry’s consistent dominance will be key. As the Ravens look to build on their momentum, Henry’s contributions will likely remain a focal point in their pursuit of a deep postseason run.
