Chris Sutton drops ‘important’ player claim in Leicester City vs Bournemouth score prediction

Leicester City welcome Bournemouth to the King Power Stadium for a Premier League clash on Saturday.

It has been a rough start for Leicester City on their return to the Premier League.

Steve Cooper is under pressure from fans after the Foxes have failed to win any of their opening six league fixtures of 2024/25.

That dismal run leaves the Midlands outfit sat 17th in the Premier League table going into this weekend’s game.

Leicester host Bournemouth in a 3pm kick-off, with the Cherries sitting 11th in the division having won two, drawn two and lost two so far this term.

While it is perhaps too early in the campaign to label this tie as a must-win for Cooper, going into the October international break without a single victory will no doubt knock the confidence of the Leicester players and see even more pressure put on the ex-Nottingham Forest manager.

Leicester lost 4-2 versus Arsenal in their last fixture but Saturday’s game marks the start of a much kinder run of games for the recently promoted side.

Meetings with Southampton and Nottingham Forest follow after the international break but Cooper must first get past the Cherries.

Bournemouth have been fairly average in the early parts of this season but Chris Sutton, as per BBC Sport, has now picked out Antoine Semenyo as an ‘important’ player for the South Coast outfit when making his score prediction for the match.

He said: “Bournemouth are a good team, and they are showing it. I watched them against Liverpool a couple of weeks ago and, although they ended up being beaten 3-0, they carried a threat and have got a goal or two in them.
