Read Ex CCFPA Chairman Jim Brown’s Latest Journal Blog- Out Now!
Jim Brown (CCFPA’s founding member and until recently committee Chairman) has produced a long-standing, roughly weekly, Journal post about all things Sky Blue for many years. Parts of it have also appeared in a regular column for the Coventry Telegraph.
The posts are a mine of information about the club’s recent and long distant past. As most Sky Blue fans know Jim is also Coventry City FC’s official club historian. The latest journal entry of this new Championship season 2024-25 has just been published online.
His latest posting follows on the clean sheet gained by the Sky Blues in their recent 3-0 Championship win over Blackburn Rovers and Jim ponders how often the excellent run of clubs (Blackburn were previously unbeaten) often end unpredictably against the form book.
CCFC are rapidly becoming something of a bogey team for this particular Lancashire club (Just as anothr one Preston North End, who we face soon are a perennial thorn in CCFC’s flesh)!
Ben Wilson was the Sky Blue goalie for this game, having regained the No.1 stop from Oliver Dovin from the start of the season. Ben was getting a reputation as a clean sheet exponent after last season’s exploits and this shut-out was his 45th achieved in his 115 appearances so far -a magnificent 39% rate of opposition blanks!
