It’s become obvious Leicester City have made a massive mistake in signing £8m player.

Leicester City have struggled to adapt to Premier League football since their promotion from the Championship.

The Foxes have picked up just one win from their opening seven games and there’s already mounting pressure on newly-appointed manager Steve Cooper from sections of the fanbase.

Though, that was eased on the weekend when Leicester defeated Bournemouth 1-0 at King Power Stadium thanks to a Facundo Buonanotte wondergoal.

Buonanotte has arguably been the most successful signing of the summer window but unfortunately, he’s only joined on a loan deal from Brighton.

Caleb Okoli has also been a hit but there is one addition that’s just not really working out and supporters are growing frustrated by his inclusion in the starting 11.

City shelled out £8m on the 33-year-old and handed him a three-year contract, so there is next to no sell-on value.

Whilst he’s certainly not been poor by any means, Ayew just isn’t at the level desired and he’s actually just stunting the growth of Abdul Fatawu, who was arguably Leicester’s best player last season.

The veteran forward is yet to get off the mark in the league and isn’t really providing much of a threat down the right flank.

Ayew is also yet to register an assist in his seven league outings but Cooper is still persisting to start him over Fatawu – who was involved in 20 goals last season.

Steve Cooper must change the system to accommodate Abdul Fatawu and Stephy Mavididi
In the opening seven league games, Cooper has been accused of putting on the handbrake and selecting a defensive team.

The former Nottingham Forest manager keeps opting to play one attacking winger and then an inside forward.

That’s meant Stephy Mavididi and Fatawu are yet to actually start a game together, which quite simply needs to change.

Cooper should revert to a more traditional 4-3-3 formation to accommodate his best players, including Ricardo Pereira, too.
