Crystal Palace suffered a considerable blow on Saturday when Daniel Munoz was withdrawn against Liverpool through injury.
Saturday saw Crystal Palace on the losing side against Liverpool – stretching the winless run to seven which will be more than concerning for the Eagles.
This form has resulted in Crystal Palace sitting 18th in the Premier League, and while there is silence Oliver Glasner will be under serious scrutiny should things not improve… and soon.
In the game, the Eagles saw several poor performances with Adam Wharton arguably the worst player on the pitch.
Despite this, it is the injury to Daniel Munoz which will concern the club.

Oliver Glasner has Daniel Munoz replacement already at the club
Ever since Glasner took charge of Crystal Palace, we have constantly raved about the impact of Munoz as he is often among the best players on the pitch.
This season has been no different, despite the turmoil and tribulations that the Eagles have faced through the opening two months of the 2024/25 season.

Munoz has suffered a ‘muscle injury’ which has forced him to withdraw from Colombia’s fixtures against Bolivia and Chile during this month’s international break.
So if this injury keeps Munoz out of Crystal Palace’s Monday night fixture against Nottingham Forest in 13 days, Glasner will be searching for a solution.
One player who could be a perfect fit is young versatile winger Franco Umeh who has shown his adaptability to playing wing-back during Crystal Palace’s pre-season tour.
Umeh would have to compete with Caleb Kporha for this role – with the 18-year-old impressing Glasner.

Franco Umeh could finally get a chance at Crystal Palace
Umeh is a player fans have been excited by for a long time, with Glasner actually watching him impress for the U21s last season.
Umeh has been a standout before in training, wowing Paddy McCarthy in the process, so he is a player we imagine is already on the cusp of minutes for Crystal Palace.
He was once seen as a Michael Olise replacement but now could actually turn out to be a phenomenal right-wing back.
The young Irish youth international cost Crystal Palace just £75k and with his unique dribbling quality combined with pace and both strong crossing and goal threat, he would be a dangerman for the Eagles should he be given a chance.
So if Glasner is looking for a Munoz replacement, Umeh could be ideal.
