‘Has to wait’ – Update emerges regarding player who joined Hull City this past summer
Hull City boss Tim Walter has said Gustavo Puerta will have to ‘wait’ for his chance.
Hull City swooped to land the midfielder on loan with a view to buy in the last transfer window from Bayer Leverkusen.
Puerta, 21, is yet to make an appearance for the Tigers’ first-team and is having to bide his time for his opportunity.
In this latest update regarding his recent absence, Walter has said, as per a report by HullLive: “He’s very emotional but he needs still some time. He’s one of our players, and he has a very high potential, but he has to wait because for two positions, we have just two starting situations (lots of competition).
“He has to wait for the chance and try to prove in the training sessions that he can play, but I’m happy with him. He has good quality but he has to take the chance if he gets the chance.”

Hull City landed Puerta to add more depth to their options in the middle of the park.
He faces a lot of competition for his place though from the likes of Oscar Zambrano, Steven Alzate, Regan Slater and Xavier Simons.
