Kenny McLean clears up Rangers transfer rumours and frank chat with Norwich City boss

Kenny McLean has played down speculation linking him with Rangers over the summer.
The Scotland midfielder, 32, was heavily touted for a move to his boyhood heroes as Philippe Clement revamped his Ibrox squad. McLean has been a virtual-ever present for Norwich City over the last six years but faced an uncertain future when new boss Johannes Thorup took over the reins in May.
However, after a heart-to-heart with the Danish manager, former Aberdeen favourite McLean’s mind was quickly settled as he committed his future to the Carrow Road club. Asked about the Rangers rumours, he said: “Not too much that needed to be spoken about.
“The manager [Johannes Thorup] was just in the door for a couple of weeks and I had a conversation with him. He’d made it quite clear publicly he wanted young players, and I didn’t quite fit that bracket. But when I spoke to him he knew he needed some experience about the place, and I’ve been there a long time.
