The Minnesota Vikings are undefeated and coming off an early bye week. Through five games, the Vikings don’t have a lot of weaknesses right now. Even their depth at most positions is something the team hasn’t had in years.

With that said, there seems to be one glowing weakness and that’s the interior offensive line. Specifically, right guard Ed Ingram.

Ed Ingram, who’s in his third year, has been the starting right guard all season. Many fans and prominent media members suspected Dalton Risner would take his place at some point once he was re-signed as a free agent. However, Risner hurt his back and was placed on IR before the season stated.

Now that Risner’s 21-day practice window has been opened, all eyes are on Ingram and whether or not the Minnesota Vikings will make the change. According to Ben Goessling (Star Tribune), that change could be sooner rather than later now.

Although it sounds like Ingram will get the start against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, his leash sounds extremely short. Goessling goes as far to say that if he struggles during the game Sunday, the Vikings could potentially make a change. Goessling also got the vibe from Risner, in an interview from Monday, that he was expecting to play which is quite interesting.
