Ange Postecoglou must be accepted as Tottenham boss refuses media game
Ian Darke has explained his admiration for the mannerisms of Ange Postecoglou, comparing the Tottenham Hotspur boss as a “bloke down the pub.”
The TNT Sports commentator has discussed the refreshing nature of the Spurs boss and what he brings to the Premier League away from the dugout.
Postecoglou has previously declared he “always wins things” in his second season at a club, in which he is currently guiding his team in their quest for a first honour since 2008.
“I admire the way Ange Postecoglou goes out on a limb and says what he believes; he comes across as the sort of bloke you’d meet down the pub,” Darke exclusively told Tottenham News.
“There are times when he comes across maybe as quite grumpy or fed up with certain things, but I like the way he’s not necessarily prepared to play the media game and see situations as the media would have them.
“I think it should be accepted, the way he says it like it is.”
Tottenham under pressure to deliver first trophy in 17 years
By the end of the season, Tottenham will have completed 17 trophyless calendar years, which Postecoglou has vowed to stop in its tracks.
