David Prutton has shared his score prediction for the Championship clash between Hull City and Sunderland this weekend.

Sunderland play in their only Sunday game of this weekend’s round of Championship fixtures, travelling to the MKM Stadium to face Hull City.

Sheffield United and Leeds United got action back underway on Friday night, with Leeds claiming an impressive 2-0 win at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke’s side are now on level points with the Black Cats who remain in 1st place of the Championship table, following their 2-2 draw with Leeds United before the break.

Tim Walter’s Hull meanwhile are in 13th. They’ve won three of their last four and could deploy former Sunderland flop Mason Burstow this weekend, as well as Sunderland summer target Liam Millar.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Championship Predictions podcast ahead of the weekend, pundit David Prutton gave his prediction for what should be a tight game between Hull City and Sunderland.

Prutton said: “Finding it hard to get something between these two, so I’m going to go 1-1.”

Speaking earlier this week, EFL pundit Parkin gave his prediction for Hull City vs Sunderland.

He said: “I just can’t, at the moment, back against Sunderland and go for Hull, given what I saw last time out.

“I think that could flip as the season goes on and they [Hull] get a better balance between defence and attack.

“But at the moment, I’m more than happy with a 3-1 away win.”
