Hull City stance on ex-Liverpool winger Ryan Kent revealed after Fenerbahce exit
The Tigers have been strongly linked with the Oldham-born winger in recent months
Hull City are not currently planning on moving for Ryan Kent after the former Liverpool winger was released by Fenerbahce on Thursday.
The ex-Rangers star only moved to Fener in July 2023 but has endured a difficult time since his move to Istanbul, playing just 19 times, with only eight coming in the Turkish Super Lig, and saw his contract terminated by mutual consent.
His departure has sparked a fresh raft of speculation about where the 27-year-old may now end up, given he’s available on a free transfer, and the Tigers have previously held conversations about his potential suitability.
“The contract with Ryan Kent, one of the Professional Football A Team players, has been terminated by mutual agreement,” the Turkish giants said in a statement. “We present it to the public.”
Kent has been strongly linked with a move to City throughout the duration of his stay in Turkey, the latest coming back in January when rumours were rife that he would arrive at the MKM Stadium, with owner Acun Ilicali, now vice-president at Fenerbache, confirming to Hull Live that a move would not be on the table, hinting Kent wasn’t sold on the idea of a move to East Yorkshire, despite initial conversations.
