Carlton Morris sends message to Luton Town supporters after Watford win

Luton Town striker Carlton Morris has taken to social media to celebrate his side’s 3-0 win against Watford yesterday.

His post on X came after he returned from an injury to make a real difference for the Hatters.

This was a mouth-watering occasion, with the rivalry between the two teams there for everyone to see.

Coming into the game, the morale in both camps probably couldn’t have been any more different.

The Hornets were in the promotion mix during the international break following a solid start to the season, with Tom Cleverley doing a fairly good job at Vicarage Road so far.

They may have fancied their chances of getting three points on the board against a Luton side that have struggled for much of the 2024/25 campaign thus far.

Before the international break, they had surrendered a 2-0 home lead against Oxford United to draw 2-2, and they were even lucky to secure a point from that game.

And they suffered a 2-0 loss in their final game before the break against Sheffield United. At that point, there was speculation on social media about Rob Edwards’ future.

If he had lost yesterday’s game, it may have been curtains for Edwards, but his team ended up securing an emphatic victory in the end.

Tom Holmes’ volley from a corner allowed Jordan Clark to deflect the ball into the net in the 11th minute – and Morris added a second just after half-time.

He headed home from another corner to make it 2-0 – and Jacob Brown added a third in the first minute of stoppage time to seal the points for the Hatters.
