Leicester City provide worrying Jannik Vestergaard update as well as the latest on injured trio ahead of Nottingham Forest clash.
Leicester City are set to be without four players for their East Midlands derby against Nottingham Forest on Friday.
Steve Cooper will face his former club for the first time since being sacked in December 2023 at the King Power Stadium on Friday.
The Foxes will be buoyed by their back-to-back wins and the Leicester boss will need everyone firing on all cylinders if they are to take home the bragging rights.
But there may be four names who Cooper can’t call upon due to injury.

Jannik Vestergaard to have scan on ankle injury
Jannik Vestergaard missed the comeback win against Southampton after suffering an ankle injury midweek.
Vestergaard hasn’t played for Leicester since August but was fit enough to feature for Denmark in their October internationals, where he was widely praised.
Whether or not the centre-back would’ve featured is another story, with Caleb Okoli seemingly the preferred option alongside Wout Faes despite being a mainstay in the side last year, earning himself a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
He is now set to undergo a scan to reveal the extent of his injury and it seems highly unlikely that he will play, as revealed by Leicestershire Live.

Oliver Glasner news could see ex-Everton boss return as management ‘admission’ made.
A former colleague of the former Everton manager David Moyes has revealed he is open to a Premier League return.
Having departed West Ham United at the end of last season, he has earned praise from afar given that Julen Lopategui has struggled with the Hammers, sitting 15th with just two wins from eight games.
Moyes previously led them to their first ever European trophy and brought them back from relegation candidates to European winners in what has been arguably his best work since leaving Everton in 2013. And his former scout, Mick Brown, from his time at West Ham has opened up on his future, teasing a return to management with Crystal Palace’s manager Oliver Glasner currently under pressure.
The Eagles are winless and The Guardian have revealed his fate is set to be decided by the next three games before the international break. If he does depart, Moyes could be considered. “David should be in the game and he’d be an asset to any club,” he told Football Insider.
“With the situation Palace are in, near the bottom of the table, there’s always going to be pressure. Whether they sack Glasner or not is a different question, but Moyes is always going to be in line for that job after what he did at West Ham.
“From what I know, he’d certainly listen to an offer if it did arrive, and then it depends on how much he wants to get back into management – but I don’t think that’ll be an issue. He’s got connections down there too, so Palace are definitely an option for him. I know after he left West Ham he moved back up to around the Blackpool area, away from London.”
He also mentioned Everton which, at one time or another, has seen Sean Dyche come under huge pressure. Especially at the start of this season as they lost the first four games, with the losses against Aston Villa and Bournemouth both seeing them surrender 2-0 leads. Since then, they’ve recovered to find their feet and a victory at Ipswich Town was clear evidence of it, despite their injury issues.
