Danny Rohl’s stunned verdict on Svante Ingelsson chance for Sheffield Wednesday vs Swansea City.
Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl was less than impressed with his side’s finishing against Swansea City.
Sheffield Wednesday ended up playing out a 0-0 draw against Swansea City on Tuesday night, in a game where the Owls could easily have snatched all three points.
Whilst the Swans had their chances too, including one close-range effort that forced a top save from James Beadle in the first half, Wednesday certainly had the more clearer sights of goal.
Wednesday had nine shots compared to Swansea’s 10. The Owls didn’t record a single shot on goal though, with Svante Ingelsson missing three shot attempts which was more than any player on the pitch.
Sheffield Wednesday fans were critical of Ingelsson after the game. The Swede started in the left attacking midfield role but failed to impress, having not lived up to the hype since his impressive Sheffield Wednesday debut against Plymouth on the opening day.

Ingelsson arguably had the best chance of the game in the first half when Djeidi Gassama put the ball across the box and found Ingelsson with time and space.
But the 26-year-old fired wide; summing up his and Sheffield Wednesday’s evening.
Speaking to the press after the game, Rohl appeared to be holding back his frustrations at the performance and at the lack of shots on target.
When asked what frustrated him more; the chance for Ingelsson or the fact that a lot of crosses came into the box, often to find nobody, Rohl said: “Both.
“When you ask me about the chance from Svante; big area, it’s 11 meters, and it’s not a shot on target, it goes left, right.
“Second half, immediately after the kick-off, a good crossed ball, second post, two players are just looking instead of being active and want to score.”

Despite playing at Hillsborough, the Owls recorded just 36% of possession, with nine shots compared to the Swans’ 10, though Swansea recorded recorded one shot on target.
Wednesday also had nine corners in the game but couldn’t make any of them count.
In the end, Wednesday had an expected goals of just 0.53, completing 297 passes compared to Swansea’s 496.
Ahead of a long-haul trip to Portsmouth on Friday night which Sheffield Wednesday fans have sold out, the Owls sit in 17th place of the Championship table as things stand.
Pompey sit in last place on eight points, having won just one league game all season.
