Luton Town man returns to training but will still miss Sunderland game
Luton Town’s Shandon Baptiste is back training and is ‘close’ to a return, as detailed on their official club website.
Luton Town are back in action this evening with a home clash against Sunderland. However, their upcoming game has come too soon for the midfielder.
Baptiste, 27, has made six appearances so far this season for the Hatters, five of which have come in the league. However, he has been out injured over recent weeks and is still on the road to recovery.
Edwards has shared this general update regarding the state of his squad, as per their website: “It’s been really challenging but, touch wood, thankfully it’s not been as bad as last season where we were having players out for the rest of the season. Thankfully the injuries we’ve had have been a bit shorter, but hopefully over the next coming week we’ll be back to somewhere near full strength.”
