Hull City rocked by more concerning injury news as Derby County lie in wait
The Tigers have suddenly developed a growing injury list
Hull City face an anxious wait to find out the extent of any potential injury to star man Liam Millar ahead of the weekend trip to face newly-promoted Derby County.
The Canadian international limped out of City’s 1-1 draw with Burnley after just five minutes with a knee injury and had to be replaced by Abu Kamara, who he had initially replaced in the starting XI.
Boss Tim Walter admits he’s unsure about the severity of any potential injury and says he will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s trip to Pride Park with City looking for a first win in four games.
There was also bad news on the injury front with Marvin Mehlem, who missed the MKM Stadium clash with the Clarets with a calf injury, and will be sidelined until after the international break, joining Steven Alzate in suffering a similar issue.
“I can’t say anything because I was unfortunately in the stands,” the City boss told Hull Live when asked about Millar’s welfare. “I just have to talk about the medical team because I didn’t see him (before talking to the media). Hopefully, he’s good, but we have to take care of him and wait for the scan.”
