Danny Mills sends warning to Leeds United fans after what he’s heard at Elland Road
Danny Mills has warned Leeds United fans to be “careful” about taking anything for granted following their side’s return to form.
The Whites have won four of their last six games and are currently third in the Championship, three points adrift from league leaders Sunderland.
Speaking live on Sky Sports News (23 October, 19:38pm), Mills shared his verdict on Leeds’ aspirations after what he heard said after the 2-1 win over Watford on Tuesday (22 October).
“I was there last night and the fans were saying ‘we’ll go on a run now’, and I’m thinking ‘steady on’. You’re 11 games into the season so be careful about that,” he said.
“When it’s going well, Leeds have one of the best atmospheres; when it’s not going so well it’s a tough place to play and a lot of players got found out last year.”
Leeds United must continue their Championship form
Leeds have been one of the best-performing teams in the Championship over the last month or so and have started to put up a real fight for the top-two spots.
Their season started somewhat topsy-turvy, with the West Yorkshire outfit dropping points to the likes of West Brom and Portsmouth along the way.
However, Daniel Farke has managed to turn things around and with the new addition of Josuha Guilavogui, their fight for the title has never been stronger.
Many thought that the club would be down and out after the injuries to Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev, but thanks to some solid outings from Joe Rothwell and Ao Tanaka, the injured duo haven’t been missed all that much.
