Pedro Neto and Wolves stars react as Matheus Cunha shares message after late equaliser vs Brighton
Wolves moved off the bottom of the Premier League table yesterday after drawing 2-2 with Brighton at the Amex Stadium.
It was a result that has the potential to be the catalyst for Wolves, who turned things around in the last minutes of the game.
Gary O’Neil’s side showed terrific character on the south coast.
Wolves looked dead and buried when Evan Ferguson scored in the 85th minute, after Danny Welbeck had given Brighton the lead in the first-half.
But Wolves did not give up. Rayan Ait-Nouri gave the visitors hope, turning in from a corner.
And then Matheus Cunha, so often the man for big occasions, scored in the 93rd minute after outstanding work at the back by Tommy Doyle.
The celebrations were wild in the away end, and the result feels fairly significant. To earn a point at the Ameix is good going, and to do that from two goals down is impressive.
