Watford will demand between £15m and £20m for Giorgi Chakvetadze amid interest from Premier League clubs including Wolves, as per Alan Nixon.
Watford have seen Georgian playmaker Chakvetadze become an influential performer since arriving at Vicarage Road in the summer of 2023.
He joined on an initial loan with the move becoming permanent the following winter. Mainly operating as an attacking midfielder, the 25-year-old has notched two goals and six assists across 50 appearances.

Tom Cleverley has started Chakvetadze in every Championship game so far this season, playing the full 90 minutes on all but four occasions too.
Now, reports of interest in the Watford star have emerged.
Writing on his Patreon, reporter Alan Nixon states that Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on the Georgian ahead of January. Wolves are among those keen, but the Hornets will not let him go on the cheap.
The Championship side would demand between £15m and £20m for Chakvetadze, who penned a new deal until 2029 earlier this season.
An ambitious asking price?
Chakvetadze is of huge importance to Watford and having just tied down to a long-term contract, they’re well within their right to demand a big fee for the attacking midfielder amid interest from elsewhere.

It is hard to see a club parting ways with up to £20m for his services though. He’s a vastly talented player and his ability goes beyond goals and assists, but for that price, perhaps an increase output would be expected.

The big asking price will help Watford fend off interest though, which is likely their aim. Chakvetadze will be key to achieving their goals so losing him mid-season will not be in the plans.
Reinvestment needed
The concern for Watford fans would be what happens with the money if Chakvetadze was to be sold.

The Hornets have sold some big assets in recent years and very little of that has gone back into improving the side. In the summer window just gone, Yaser Asprilla and Ismael Kone were both sold for healthy fees yet Pierre Dwomoh, Kevin Keben, Kayky Almeida and Rocco Vata were the only signings to require fees.
None of those were substantial either, so there has to be money there to pump back into the team.
