Mixed Reports on Jayden Daniels Injury Making Bears’ Job More Difficult in Week 8
The injury report heading into the Week 8 clash between Washington and Chicago has serious question marks.
The Chicago Bears have a bye in Week 7 and sit with a 4-2 record. They have a big-time contest on Sunday against the Washington Commanders.
This matchup has a lot of excitement and storylines. It’s the No. 1 pick Caleb Williams against the No. 2 pick Jayden Daniels.
These two guys will forever be linked to each other and this is the first contest in the NFL between these two young studs. This game was moved from a noon CT kickoff to 3:25 CT. The NFL wanted the nation to watch these guys square off but injuries to Daniels have put a wrench in the plays.
The LSU product left last week’s contest against the Carolina Panthers with a rib injury and now his status for Week 8 is up in the air.
Daniels didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday but was a limited participant on Friday. Head coach Dan Quinn spoke to reporters on Friday and gave a statement about Daniels.
He said, “We will assess how he responds to the work that we did over the next 48 hours. But we really pushed it today.”
