Stoke City have sent Sam Gallagher over to Dubai for some warm weather training, as per reporter Alan Nixon on his Patreon page.
Stoke City’s striker has jetted off abroad as he looks to step up his recovery from his calf injury. He made the switch to the Bet365 Stadium this past summer from fellow Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
Gallagher, 29, penned a three-year deal with the Potters running until June 2027. He has since made three appearances for his new club and has chipped in with a single goal.
In this latest update regarding his situation, journalist Nixon on Patreon has said there are ‘early fears’ that he could be ruled out for three months. Therefore, he has gone to Dubai to try and speed up the process of getting back out on the pitch.
Stoke City were beaten 2-0 away at Sheffield United at Bramall Lane over the weekend.

Gallagher was signed by the Staffordshire outfit to bolster their attacking department.
He gives them more competition and depth up top and also injects experience into their ranks.
However, it has been a frustrating start to life with the Potters for him.
After joining them in the last transfer window, he told their website: “The direction that the Club wants to go in is what attracted me.
“There is an eagerness to climb the league which aligns with what I want to achieve. I feel confident in my abilities, I want to impact the team in a positive way and, most importantly, for the Club to be successful.”

Prior to his transfer to Stoke City, he spent five years at Blackburn Rovers and scored 37 goals in 188 games during his time at Ewood Park.
Gallagher played for Plymouth Argyle before linking up with Southampton as a youngster.
He went on to play 26 times for the Saints’ first-team, as well as having loan spells away at MK Dons, Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers to boost his development.
