As things stand, the Owls sit in 13th place of the Championship table after Sheffield Wednesday came from behind to beat Portsmouth 2-1 last Friday.

Carabao Cup prize money and how much Sheffield Wednesday earn if they beat Brentford
Sheffield Wednesday have so far earned £22,000 from their Carabao Cup run this season.
The Owls received £5,000 for their first round win, £7,000 for their second round win, and £10,000 for their third round win.
Winners of the Fourth Round receive £15,000. If Sheffield Wednesday beat Brentford they’ll be in the quarter-finals, the winners of which receive £25,000.
Semi-finalists also receive £25,000, whilst the runner-up gets £50,000, and the winner £100,000.
Sheffield Wednesday won the 1990/91 League Cup and got to the final again in 1992/93.
Brentford meanwhile have never won the tournament, coming closest during the 2020/21 season where they reached the semi-finals.

Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford last played each other during the Bees’ 2020/21 promotion-winning season.
Brentford did the double over Wednesday that season winning 2-1 at Hillsborough and then 3-0 on home turf; the Bees have won their last three outings against Wednesday.
In 2019, Sheffield Wednesday won twice at Brentford, scoring two goals in both games.
Interestingly, the last nine meetings between Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday have ended in a win for either side (six for Brentford and three for the Owls), with their last draw coming back in 2016.
