‘Raring to go’ – Blackburn Rovers man ready to face Stoke City after long-term absence
Blackburn Rovers boss John Eustace has said Harry Leonard is ‘raring’ to go following his return from injury.
Blackburn Rovers have the attacker back available for selection after his lengthy absence. He was on the bench for the Lancashire outfit last time out as they were beaten 2-0 at home by Sheffield United but didn’t get on in the end.
Leonard, 21, will be itching to get some minutes as the Championship side prepare to lock horns with Narcis Pelach’s Stoke City in their next upcoming fixture on Wednesday night. They are sat in 8th place in the table at the moment and are two points off the play-offs behind West Brom.
In this latest update regarding the forward, Eustace has said, as per the official club website: “Harry [Leonard] came in at the weekend and it was great to have him back in the squad. He’s raring to go.”
Blackburn Rovers selection update
Leonard has been sidelined for the whole of 2024 so far with back and shoulder issues.
He hasn’t featured at all for Blackburn Rovers this year, hence why they have been patient with him over recent weeks.
