Hull City injury and suspension woes laid bare as problems pile up for Tim Walter
It never rains but it pours for boss Tim Walter and his struggling squad
Hull City’s Championship season hit new depths this week after summer signing Mohamed Belloumi became the latest player struck down by a serious injury.
Just a couple of weeks after Liam Millar was ruled out with an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury, Belloumi is believed to have suffered a similar fate in the closing stages of Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat at Oxford United. City remain hopeful the prognosis isn’t as bad as first feared, but there’s a growing concern the results of a scan will confirm it.
The news will come as another hammer blow to City and boss Tim Walter, who is under mounting pressure after a poor run of results and saw fans again turn on him at the Kassam Stadium, demanding owner Acun Ilicali make a change.
City will now be without a host of key players when West Brom visit the MKM Stadium on Sunday afternoon for the final outing before the November international break.
