Leeds United handed ideal international fixture boost after last month’s chaos
Leeds United are going to see multiple key players head out on international duty next week after the home clash with QPR, but the gap between players returning to West Yorkshire and the resumption of league action is much wider this month.
A month ago, Leeds were starting to go through their massive injury crisis thanks to three knee injuries to defensive players Ethan Ampadu, Ilia Gruev, and Max Wöber – forcing them into a free agent signing of Josuha Guilavogui.
What didn’t help Leeds was the concern regarding several of the squad being heavily involved in international duty prior to the win over Sheffield United.
Away from those that are going to be taking part in Nations League action in Europe, there are three that are jetting out next week to further corners of the globe.
Junior Firpo is confirmed, obviously, in the Dominican Republic squad for CONCACAF Nations League games against Dominica (Sat, 16 Nov, 11pm) and Bermuda (Tues, 19 Nov, 11pm).
