A strange West Brom situation never quite seen before
The feeling surrounding Albion’s current rough patch is quite bizarre – and something I don’t quite think I’ve seen before.
Thursday night’s goalless draw against Burnley was Albion’s fourth in six games, and the third at home without goals on the bounce.
But the statistics that come with it are even more startling. Albion fans will have seen the majority of them, but the three goals in the first seven home games being the third lowest in EFL history is quite something.
The goals have dried up and a section of fans booed Carlos Corberan and his players off the pitch last night. Whether the Spaniard heard it or not, they definitely were boos.
Yet for all the negatives, there are positives and the fact Albion are fifth after a barren run of no win in eight and a severe drought in the goal department just makes it bizarre.
