Football, as we all know, is a sport whereby nothing should be taken for granted.

One week it can give you a high, the next it can feel like it has kicked you in the nether regions.

But Middlesbrough away, on Saturday, certainly falls into the latter category.

After a bright start, the Hatters conceded the games opening goal and were, to put it bluntly, a shambles for the remainder of the game.

Only a good finish, from Jordan Clark, gave anyone in among the travelling support, anything to cheer about.

Middlesbrough is a damn long way away, a four to five hour drive for most, and to witness such a poor showing was heartbreaking, losing after a good showing is bearable, but after that………I’ll let you make the judgement call.

It was no wonder that social media was rammed full of supporters airing their frustrations last night, views that, sadly, make for unpleasant reading, but, on the other hand, can you blame those who posted them, surely something has to be said?
