Regis Le Bris had a nightmare during Sunderland 2-2 Coventry City, his main weakness has been expose.
Sunderland let a two-goal lead slip against Coventry City on Saturday, and Regis Le Bris may have to take the brunt of the criticism for that one.
If ever there was a game to sum up ‘a game of two halves’, it would be Sunderland 2-2 Coventry City.
Sunderland blew Coventry way in the first half and looked as though they could’ve gone on to win the game by three or four goals.
Wilson Isidor and Dennis Cirkin both scored impressive goals and gave the Black Cats a 2-0 lead come half-time at the Stadium of Light.
But Coventry stuck to their guns. They came out looking much more intense in the second half and perhaps deservedly left with a point in the end.
For Sunderland, it’s a point that keeps them in 1st place of the Championship table for the time being, though Leeds United in 2nd are now two points behind, with Sheffield United in 3rd and three points behind.

Regis Le Bris substitutions cost Sunderland in game against Coventry City
Few will have any critique of Le Bris so far. He’s completely changed the style of play and for the better, too.
But against Coventry City, we’ve maybe seen his first real criticism emerge; his substitutions in the second half.
It seemed clear that Sunderland gave perhaps too much energy in the first half and were tiring by, arguably, the 50th minute mark.
But Le Bris waited until the 76th minute to make a change. And it was a somewhat confusing change with striker Aaron Connolly coming on for Romaine Mundle, despite left-wingers Tommy Watson and Nazariy Rusyn being on the bench.
Then Le Bris brought Dan Ballard on for Alan Browne despite having Milan Aleksic on the bench a change that journalist James Copley found confusing too.
