Praise for Leeds winger Dan James after Swansea game
Wales international winger Dan James started for Leeds. He came in the place of Wilfried Gnonto.
Leeds registered a dramatic 4-3 win against Swansea at the Swansea.com Stadium. James was arguably the best player for Leeds.
The 27-year-old former Swansea winger gave two assists. His first was for Manor Solomon’s goal for Leeds in the 20th minute. James’s second was for Gnonto’s winner in injury time.
Ian Walsh was following the match for BBC Radio Wales. The former Swansea and Wales international forward was hugely impressed by the display produced by James.
Walsh said about James on BBC Radio Wales: “What an intelligent player Daniel James is, what a player he has become. He can do everything!”
What Daniel Farke made of Dan James
Just like Leeds fans, head coach Farke was also impressed with James and praised the winger for using his pace.
When asked about James playing a big role with his pace, Farke said, as quoted in LeedsLive: “Yes, I was hoping for that. Explore space is behind that high line. Three assists. Spirited performance.”
James is one of the best and most important players for Leeds and will be a big player in their quest to win automatic promotion to the Premier League.
The winger has scored two goals and given two assists in seven starts and two substitute appearances in the Championship this season.
James scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 28 starts and 15 substitute appearances in the Championship last season.
