£46m Leeds United subs last night should frighten Sheff Utd, Sunderland, Burnley
Leeds United cruised past a hapless Luton Town side with a comfortable 3-0 win on Wednesday night, allowing Daniel Farke the chance to turn to his bench early to keep players fresh for Saturday’s trip to Blackburn Rovers.
Leeds were heavily fancied to restore their position at the top of the Championship table on Wednesday night, dropping to fourth thanks to wins for Sheffield United and Burnley and a draw for Sunderland.
At home to Luton Town, Leeds had the chance to move two clear of third with a win, which they never looked in doubt of from minute one.
Leeds United receive huge injury boost with Largie Ramazani return
As Leeds made it 2-0 thanks to Joel Piroe before the break on Wednesday evening, it allowed Daniel Farke to relax somewhat in the second half, knowing the Hatters weren’t going to be mustering any sort of comeback from two down.
Therefore, he allowed himself the chance to introduce subs much earlier than he usually does, using all five and allowing for some players to be rested ahead of a trip to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon.
Coming off the bench was Largie Ramazani, making his first appearance since being forced off with ankle ligament injury in the win over Watford back in October.
