Nov. 22: RHPs Logan Gillaspie, Luis Patiño, SS Mason McCoy, OF Bryce Johnson non-tendered
Ahead of the Nov. 22 deadline to tender contracts to players on their roster, the Padres cut ties with four players, bringing their 40-man roster to 33. Among the group, Patiño was the only arbitration-eligible player.
Nov. 22: IF/OF Tyler Wade agrees to one-year deal with team option for 2026
Wade was also arbitration-eligible, but his deal means he’s set to return in a similar capacity for 2025 — as a do-everything utility player. With Wade’s signing and Patiño’s non-tender, the Padres have six remaining arbitration-eligible players: Luis Arraez, Dylan Cease, Michael King, Jason Adam, Adrian Morejon and Luis Campusano.
Nov. 19: RHP Henry Baez (Padres No. 7 prospect), LHP Omar Cruz (No. 22), RHP Ryan Bergert (No. 25) selected to 40-man roster
Ahead of the deadline to protect prospects from becoming eligible for next month’s Rule 5 Draft, the Padres added three Minor League pitchers to their 40-man roster.
