Leeds official stance emerges as approach made to sign £4m+ striker.
Leeds United do not expect to do much business in January amid speculation linking them with Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Dor Turgeman, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Israeli news outlet Sport5 reported on 4 December that Leeds have made an official approach to sign the 21-year-old forward, who’s valued at over £4million.
However, the YEP has since reported that “Leeds’ official stance on incomings as well as outgoings” is that it won’t be a busy winter transfer window.
Dor Turgeman could be the addition Leeds United need.
Although there has been plenty of talk of a quiet transfer window at Elland Road in January, the signing of this young striker could be an attractive prospect for Daniel Farke who is looking to take his side back to the Premier League this term.
The striker has five goals and two assists from nine appearances so far this season in the Israeli Premier League and at only 21 years age of, you look at him as a player with excellent ability as well as the capacity to develop further.
Although the Whites have been impressive so far this season and scored plenty, they have lacked that real number nine striker in their side who they can look to to consistently perform at the highest level required for promotion and score goals meaning this would be a transfer that could definitely help the side out in their quest to finish at the top of the table.
It’s understandable that Farke doesn’t want to go overboard with transfers in January but you feel as though this could be a smart bit of business for the club in the short and long-term if they can strike a deal with Tel Aviv.
