“Doesn’t really do very much” – Norwich City advised to terminate Liverpool FC agreement in January.

Norwich City landed the services of winger Kaide Gordon in the summer, with new Liverpool boss Arne Slot seeing it fit to allow him out on loan for the first time in his short career so far.
Gordon started his footballing journey with Derby County in 2013 at the age of eight, but went onto to make his senior debut on 29 December 2020, as a substitute in a 4-0 win against Birmingham City for the Rams.
After debuting for boyhood club Derby at the tender age of 16, Liverpool struck a deal for the young winger in February 2021. He was extremely highly-rated at Pride Park, but the club’s off-field issues meant they would have to cash in on their most promising youngsters at the time.
John Percy of The Telegraph confirmed that Gordon was joining the Premier League side for an initial fee of around £1 million, although they could end up paying as much as £3 million for the teenager in the future.
Gordon made his senior debut for the Reds later that year in an EFL Cup tie away, somewhat ironically, away at Norwich, before becoming the side’s youngest FA Cup goalscorer by scoring on his Anfield bow against Shrewsbury Town a few months on.
Unfortunately for Gordon, his physical growth has led to pelvic problems that have kept him out of action for a long spell of his career with Liverpool, and it was believed back in the summer that Liverpool might sanction a loan deal to ensure that his recovery entails frequent first-team football.

FLW’s Norwich City fan pundit Zeke Downes was asked for his thoughts on Gordon’s start to life at the club, with the Liverpool youngster not afforded the regular starts in the first-team he and his parent club were perhaps hoping for.
Zeke told FLW: “Kaide Gordon is an odd one because, when we signed him he looked like a really exciting one, but I do believe he wasn’t the first option.
“I can’t remember who it was, but there was another player who we were looking to get on loan. Then we got Gordon on deadline day instead.
“I don’t see him getting much game time now at all. When he comes on, he doesn’t really do very much. Now, he’s not really been in the squad.
“I’d imagine that he will be heading back to Liverpool. I’m not sure why it’s not worked. Either he is not ready or he’s just not the sort of player we need.
“I do definitely think we need to terminate the loan and bring in a better winger instead of him – be that on loan or as a permanent deal.”
