Pascal Struijk exit on cards after contract update at Leeds United
Pascal Struijk is attracting transfer interest from Tottenham amid ongoing contract talks with Leeds United, according to TBR.
The news outlet reports [14 December] that Spurs are following the Dutch national, who has become an essential player for Daniel Farke at the West Yorkshire club.
Apart from the North Londoners, Brighton and Wolves also have their eyes on the 25-year-old, whose current contract expires in the summer of 2027.
The Whites’ promotion prospects will likely determine whether they can agree with the centre-back over a new deal, with the Peacocks second after the 1-1 draw against Preston on Saturday [14 December].
Leeds United need to keep Tottenham away from Pascal Struijk
Struijk has been key to the Whites’ success over the years and has been influential in the current campaign as Farke looks to get his team back to the Premier League.
The German manager failed to get the Peacocks into the English top flight last season after losing to Southampton in the play-offs final.
With the Elland Road faithful expecting their side to win the Championship, and if that happens, Farke will need to keep a hold of his best players next summer.
Leeds have relied on Joe Rodon and Struijk to bring solidity to the team, and the duo has done well so far, although the Dutchman could’ve done better at Deepdale as Preston took the lead.
