Leeds United transfer chase takes £12.5m twist as target now tipped for permanent January exit.
A player linked with Leeds United ahead of the January transfer window has been tipped to potentially leave the club in a permanent deal in the winter window.
Leeds United have a few names on their transfer radar right now, mostly attacking players with Daniel Farke seemingly keen on bolstering his frontline in the New Year.
Farke says Leeds United could be quiet in January. But there’s names like Manchester City’s James McAtee being linked with Leeds United ahead of January.
The young attacker is out of favour at the Etihad and there’s growing speculation that he could be moved on during the January window, which opens in little over a week’s time now.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa’s Louie Barry is also linked with Leeds. The former Barcelona gem has just been recalled from Stockport County where he lead the League One standings for goals, having scored 14 this season.
Barry, 21, is the subject of widespread transfer interest ahead of January, with Middlesbrough thought to be leading the race for his signature as things stand.

It was previously reported that clubs would have to pay £12.5million to prise Barry from Aston Villa on a permanent basis.
Palmer said: “It’s very disappointing for Stockport County at this moment in time, but he’s Aston Villa’s player, they want to develop him and maybe there’s a deal on the table to sign him in the January transfer window if they don’t see him as part of their future first-team.
“Maybe he’ll get sold in the January transfer window. It’s unclear yet, and we’ll soon find out whether he’ll be loaned out, integrated into the first team or sold.
