European giants want £83m Newcastle ace & it could be another Cole disaster.
Since taking over as manager at Newcastle United, Eddie Howe has had the luxury of spending hundreds of millions of pounds. Of course, that is because of their takeover in 2021, when Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund bought the majority stake in the club.
Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to improve their defensive unit in the coming months and Milan Skriniar is reportedly on their transfer radar.
According to CaughtOffside, the 29-year-old central defender is a target for Arsenal and Newcastle United as well. PSG are prepared to sell the player next month, and they will demand a fee of around €35 million.

The report states the asking price could be reduced to €25 million through negotiations and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
Skriniar has proven himself to be a reliable performer in European football over the years and he could prove to be a very useful acquisition for Tottenham. The London club are currently lacking in depth in the central defensive unit and the 29-year-old could fill that void.
Tottenham have struggled in the absence of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven. Radu Dragusin is currently the only fit central defender at the club. Signing another defender in January should be one of their priorities. The 29-year-old PSG defender has the quality to compete at the highest level, and he could make an instant impact at Tottenham if he joins the club.
The asking price seems quite reasonable for a player who is at the peak of his powers. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham come forward with an official offer to sign him.
