Jacob Ramsey injury update emerges ahead of Aston Villa clash v Brighton
Unai Emery will be hoping to put the past behind him as Aston Villa welcome Brighton to Villa Park on Monday.
The Villans were battered by Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United last time out, having gone down to 10 men following a ridiculous red-card decision on Jhon Duran, going on to lose the game 3-0.
With the striker now unavailable for the next three matches, Emery will need as much attacking power against the Seagulls on 30 December as possible.
Ollie Watkins could make his return to the starting XI, as too could Leon Bailey who played 25 minutes at St James’ Park after missing the 2-1 win over Manchester City.
However, one of the biggest pieces of news heading into Monday’s clash is that Jacob Ramsey is back in training and could be ready to face the Seagulls at Villa Park [Emery via Jacob Tanswell].
The 23-year-old has only finished two 90-minute matches in the Premier League this season, and while he only has two assists to his name this term, his return could be crucial for all three points.
