West Brom loanee Lewis Dobbin is attracting interest from other Championship clubs, as per a report by the Express & Star.
West Brom signed the winger in the last transfer window from Aston Villa on loan but he is now heading back to Villa Park with official confirmation imminent. He was due to spend the whole season at The Hawthorns.

Dobbin, 21, has made 17 appearances in all competitions for the Baggies so far this season but hasn’t managed to score or get an assist. The Midlands outfit are currently sat in 6th place in the table and are inside the play-offs along with Sheffield United, Sunderland and Middlesbrough as they eye promotion.

In this latest update regarding his situation this winter, the Express & Star report he is returning to his parent club and is wanted by some other teams in the second tier. It remains to be seen at this stage who exactly are eyeing up a potential swoop for him this month.

His time with the Baggies hasn’t worked out though and he hasn’t made the impact he would have wanted to.

A change of scene may well do him good and give him the chance to show what he can do.

After joining in August under former boss Carlos Corberan, he told West Brom’s website: “I’m really happy to be here. It’s the perfect opportunity to get first-team minutes and show what I can do.

“I’ve heard a lot about the Championship and I know it’s a tough, competitive league. I’m ready for it, though. I really want to show what I’m about.

“I like to excite the fans and get them out of their seats. I love to score goals and create goals, so hopefully I can do lots of that here this season.”

Dobbin rose up through the academy ranks at Everton and was a regular for the Toffees at various different youth levels.

He went on to play 20 games for their senior team and found the net once.

The ex-England youth international was also loaned out away from Goodison Park at Derby County to get some experience.

Aston Villa signed him in June before loaning him out to the Baggies.
